Funerals

A funeral is a time to celebrate the life of a loved one and mourn their passing. A live performance can be a touching addition during the funeral service, whether at a crematorium or church. Charlotte is available to sing with an organist, pianist or backing tracks. Charlotte is an experienced classical opera singer based in Plymouth, who has performed at memorial services for notable people and occasions including singing for a memorial service to celebrate the life and work of Sir Gerald Kauffman, a labour MP, at Manchester Town Hall, and the Notre Dame Cathedral to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Holodomor.

What Charlotte offers

Congregational hymn leading

Many people look to bolster congregational hymn singing. A single soloist can help a great deal with this.

Solo Song

Often people may have a special song which may speak to them in someway, either religious or non-religious- sometimes this is a nice contrast to the hymns performed at funerals and allows a moment for the congregation to reflect on the music and words of the song.

Organists

Many churches have their own resident organist, but if not Charlotte can help you to find one. Hymns are usually accompanied by the organ, and an organist can provide background music as your congregation arrives and leaves the venue.
